THE BIG MERINO, GOULBURN

The Big Merino has been an icon of Goulburn since 1985, but was relegated to a backwater when the Hume Highway bypass diverted the main road away form its prominent location in 1992. RDA helped to carry out the move of this massive structure to its new location at the Mobil station near the main highway. The statues legs were reinforced and embedded in concrete and was refurbished. Its souvenir shop and display room were also refurbished as a tourist attraction.
